We value depth over breadth, intellectual honesty over confident oversimplification, and a demonstrated capacity to learn and adapt over a fixed curriculum vitae of familiar technologies. We measure success by the quality of the work we produce and the difficulty of the problems we solve.
We particularly value experience with: Python and its scientific ecosystem (NumPy, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, Plotly); Rust and WebAssembly; Linux system administration and performance engineering; computer vision and deep learning research; and data engineering and pipeline architecture.
Familiarity with our specific research areas, e.g. convolutional neural network architectures, colour science, perceptual quality assessment metrics, or computational neuroscience, is a distinct advantage but is not required.
Working with Us
We are a remote-first company with the option for in-person collaboration in co-working spaces in the London and Brighton & Hove areas (UK). We work with a high degree of autonomy and expect the same from our team. We maintain rigorous standards, and take collective ownership of the quality of our output.
